Definition

ATO (Auto Top Off) is a system that automatically replaces evaporated water with RODI to keep salinity stable.

Practical use

Components: optical or float sensor + dosing pump + reservoir. Common units: Tunze Osmolator, AutoAqua Smart ATO, Innovative Marine. Some hobbyists dose kalkwasser through the ATO for two-in-one Ca/Alk maintenance.
